Life's Little Moments

Can't resist...

I know I just posted a young blue jay two days ago, but I could simply not resist this shot for today.  I went out on the deck to have my morning tea and along came a juvenile blue jay and one of its parents.  The screeching and wing fluttering commenced almost immediately as the youngster begged most vigorously to get the parent to bring it some suet.  Which it did, as you can see from parental head in the corner of the frame.  All in all, a delightful start to the day.  Immediately following, a red-bellied woodpecker came down with two youngsters - who took one look at me and headed up into the trees. But I'm patient...

Hubs and I went for a brisk 2+ mile walk this morning before I headed to the dentist to get 3 small filling replaced.  The dental work was fast, painless and easy which left me time to come home and lurk about outside for a while.

Sometime in the next few days, I'll be posting a shot of the Great Golden Digger Wasps who live in a colony in our walkway.  (Much to the horror of Hubs and SIL).  If you want a preview, click HERE

Thanks for your very kind comments yesterday.  This period of uncertainty, civil unrest and hyper-partisanship is difficult for many of us (probably most of us, if I'm being honest).  Still, there are moments when one can feel very alone - so thank you for letting me know I'm not alone.

Be kind, be loving...and be safe!
