Crispy gnocchi

This is an emergency blip of our dinner of vegan crispy gnocchi on a day of a medical emergency, with several phone calls to and from our GP surgery.

Mr hazelh was in such a terrible state this morning that I almost dialled 999 to call an ambulance to cart him off to hospital. He was crying out in acute pain, shaking from his torso out to his limbs, all sensation lost in his cold, wet, clammy hands. The root of this trauma was his backache, which is almost certainly a slipped disc. The damage was most likely caused when Mr hazelh carried the base of our patio parasol from shed 3 to position in the yarden last Saturday morning. The GP has advised that Mr hazelh take painkillers and to try to keep moving. Mummy hazelh's wheeled walker, last used on 31st December 2019, has suddenly become the most important item in this house.

Caring for the patient has taken up so much of my time today that my progress down my work 'to do' list has been rather slow, and I didn't get the chance to take any exercise or to attack my compost pile, as planned.

The one highlight of the day was the arrival of an oxalis plant, kindly delivered to us by ArcLight.

Exercise today: none.
