New habits

To the market in Lézignan today for the first time since, phew, probably September. A bit more mask-wearing than we've seen so far but still well under 50%, even in the most crowded parts. No groping the fruit and veg, you have to point at what you want. We ambled round, not buying that much (we did succumb to these tomatoes), but met a few people we know and caught up with local news, which was nice.

This evening we were back at the local restaurant, just the two of us, for a more restrained evening than last Wednesday with four friends when we ate and drank very copiously till long after dark. "Oh," said the waiter, "it was you who seriously reduced the stock of sangria last week?" Yes, we admitted.

We just had one jug of sangria and a couple of tapas. A lot pricier than the land of free tapas, but they are very good. We were pleased to see that they were busy again after so many occasions when we've been the only customers. The restaurant achieved a Michelin Bib Gourmand last year, and that has helped a lot to make it better known. He's aiming for a star now ...
