Costume for the dark faced executioner

This is the last of the costume designs by Lorna for the WB Yeats' play of 1907 about the the Irish heroine Deirdre.

If you would like to save expense, I should advise writing to someone who used to do Greek dancing at school for his tunic. Make his helmet out of black felt. If you can afford to buy the material, I think that shiny Mackintosh kind of stuff would be awfully effective.
