Gently down the stream

White-tailed bumble

When I came back from my walk this morning, this white-tailed bee (bombus lucorum) was bumbling about on an allium in Nun's Road.  I think the house owner must have wondered what I was doing, down on one knee blipping her front garden, but from the corner of my eye I saw her whisk inside just as I was finishing so I'm probably down as a harmless nutter.  Apart from the bee, I liked the clash of reds, so it becomes my blip for the day.

Not quite as much sun today and we lose it, apparently, for the next three days.  Don't think we're getting any rain.  My garden is dying of dryness.  Not me, though, I'm off to make a large pot of tea!  Enjoy the rest of your day/evening  xx
