Happy Birthday son
A typewriter had been on his wish list for quite a while, but he never guessed that we would have been able to source one and give it to him for his birthday. A blessing of 'lockdown' - we have been able to share his birthday. I am sure he would rather have been with his friends but he seems to have had a good day. He did not want a cake, but asked we had a formal dinner and would I make celeriac veloute for the first course? Of course he helped, and the extra shows him about to blend the mixture. Not quite as good as he has eaten [when dining out in London] but we all enjoyed it.
Mother came for lunch too, so all in all - a great day.
PS - he has already typed 2 thank you letters on his new acquisition!
