A Difficult One

I know it’s selfish of me
to hope others stay away.
Folk like being by the sea

but lockdown tranquillity
offers protection each day.

but now that tourists will be
pouring in it doesn’t feel ok.

and it’s lovely here, I do agree,
but the virus needs keeping at bay.

- businesses must have money
and require people who will pay.
Folk like being by the sea.
