Perennial Sweet Pea

The Mate had expressed an interest in growing sweet peas to act as a screen so, last year I bought a tray of annuals. (I made sure they weren't the dwarf sort I bought the year before!) This year, of course, I wasn't out to buy any young plants.

What a good job I also bought some perennial sweet peas last year, Lathyrus latifolius. there isn't the wide variety of colours of the annual ones but their long straight stems make them good for cutting..


The Mate had hoped to give me a bunch when I visited today but there were only a couple of blooms so I came home with this one to blip.
