Emma D's diary

By EmmaDrabble

At Bosbury: Evening light at the cricket ground..

Ella pulled out this poem that she wrote. I framed it when she wrote it a while ago. It stands on the side in the kitchen. She wrote it when she was 7 or 8 years old. I was amazed by how descriptive she could be about something as simple as a tree.

Day after day I stand
whilst birds flutter past my arms,
Blosson falls gently down my body like pink rain
In the hot, gas sun, I boil to a crisp
Still confident, I bravely stand in the lonely world.

Night after night I stand,
Whilst the glimmering moon shines down on me.
My legs frost bitten to death, but still I stand positively
My branches wave in the wind peacefully
Suddenly it starts to rain and I say my prayers.

Well done Ella xxx
