Carreghofa Lower Lock

This afternoon we went for a walk along the Montgomery Canal, starting from Llanymynech.  There were lots of butterflies and dragonflies and some fish jumping and splashing in the water.

This is one of two very attractive locks at Careghofa and the road crossing over the canal.  The houses were the lock keeper's cottage and toll house originally.  It's a shame about all the posts and wires but it's still a lovely spot.
