Rosemoor

We visited RHS Rosemoor this morning.  We have never been there before, and I wasn't sure what to expect.

There are 65 acres of mixed formal and informal gardens.  I think we were visiting at their peak, with so many beautiful plants and flowers in full bloom.  The lawns were in perfect condition (how do they manage to keep such a large area moss and weed free?).  I was particularly impressed by their extensive fruit and vegetable gardens.  My blip shows a couple of RHS staff harvesting some of the produce.

We then visited some friends in Great Torrington for an extended lunch, followed by a stroll round the town.  Finally back to Bull Point to sit watching the late evening sun setting over the sea at the end of a wonderful hot, sunny day.
