Cramond island causeway

Monday
We had an early morning walk from school brae down along the river Almond to cramond foreshore. This is of my favourite walks and we haven't been here for a while.
We saw lots of ducks a couple of swans and there were three herons sitting in the trees. The barriers are still across the entrance to cramond island causeway, but this doesn't seem to deter people from walking across.

After lunch I baked a lemon drizzle cake, then popped along to see one of our neighbours. We managed to sit in her garden for 10 minutes before the rain came on.
