Friday Flowers

I did wake up during the night, for message conversations with cousin J in Cranbourne North (back to lockdown and mask wearing compulsory outside for the next few weeks) and M in Waimate. But unlike the last few nights I easily got back to sleep.

When I awoke for the day proper it was to busyness. Of course the house seemed quiet, no bell or miaow announcing Molly's arrival.

Had a chat with Y next door and gave her some cat litter. Cat food went to MStG to go to Richmond Craigmillar in Niddrie. I did some personal admin, had a College meeting, did a Bridgend delivery, then after lunch to the Manor to meet K, virtually, and do mum's review. Home to update J (sat beside the pool) before Wine o'Clock. Much hilarity for K's quiz and much shouting over one another.

But I was exhausted, wrung out, so couldn't even summon up the energy to slump in front of the TV. Bed called.

The blip is Mum's other flowers for Friday. Findlay has a tummy bug so the Northumberland mob may not be joining us tomorrow.

Day 99, 3 months, but I'm not really locked down. The nonsense in England about wearing/not wearing masks annoys me. Focus on celebrating people wearing them rather than on who enforces the law. Is it because we have a clear, simple message delivered by a FM in whom we have confidence and England has a wobbly wobbly PM who nobody trusts?
