Optomistic?

I took Jonty out early this morning before it got too hot. As it happens it's been a much cooler day.
Walking up the bank at the end of the playing field the lines marking out the football pitches were very clear. I had noticed them when I entered the park, I'm not totally blind yet, but much clearer from above.
I don't know if the teams were playing today, there was no evidence of it such as the goalposts being erected etc. so maybe it's ready for tomorrow. It's the junior local league that plays at the weekends in parks all over Gloucester. I have to admire the men that organise the children with this, they are out there in all weathers not just in the summer.
