Lewes

This is the closest I've been to Lewes (or any other town) since mid March when I last went to the cinema (for Portrait of a Lady on Fire). Its the county town of East Sussex - which is why the view is ruined by the monstrous 1960s county council headquarters that dwarf the Norman castle. However, my interest isn't the town, its these hideously steep downland slopes in the foreground. Its worth the effort of climbing up because this is one of the best sites anywhere for the Silver-spotted skipper.
