AOG - Day 4

Regrettably, the NJ AOG Stadium and all venues had to close early due to the arrival of Tropical Storm Isaias with torrential rains and high winds.  The only athletes sill in the stadium are Team Hummie who insist that nothing will deter them from their practice session today.  Between you and me, I think it is all a thinly veiled attempt to hide the fact that all of them are spending way too much time drinking "nectar" in the cantina.

Anyhoo... before the Games had to halt, I was able to see young Rudy Red Belly put himself into medal contention in Hang Three (toes) Semi-finals.  Nothing shook his focus and determination - not even when one of the young members of Team Blue Jay tried to shake his concentration by shrieking right in his ear.  Team Blue Jay has been given a warning - we simply can't condone such unsportsmanlike conduct!

Meanwhile, Team Gray Catbird was keeping very quiet on their plans to perform the National Anthem in the closing ceremonies next week.  I barely got a word out of Team Captain Garry (Extra).

The storm is really bearing down on us now - rain is coming down in buckets and the trees are all whipping about in the wind.  We anticipate possibly losing power this afternoon so I thought it best to file my report now.

And I would be remiss in not mentioning some of yesterday's nail-biting competitions...

Team Lady Mallard
Team Squirrel (in spite of some questionable tactics)
