The North Pennines is a wild place. The further up the Teesdale valley you get, on to the high fells, the more you realise how rugged it is and how hard it must be to live and farm up there. The old industries (particularly lead mining) are long gone but there are lots of remnants and memories still there to see. There are a couple of 'extra' photos to take a look at, all taken yesterday.
