Gently down the stream

Lucky me

Today I had an extended jaunt to the back of the reserve.  How lucky am I?  It is indeed a magic land and one I'm allowed to revisit on certain occasions.  Bliss!  So I'm sorry in a way to have returned home with such a small piece of it, but this female banded demoiselle was definitely my favourite pic of the day, despite New Forest ponies, sheep, cattle, roe and muntjac deer, distant buzzards and cormorants, black mink tracks and the possibility of otters.  And of course all the wild flowers!

I have also sent Methuselah to the designer for the last time!

So all in all a good day, and although the next tunnel of 'stuff' beckons and will certainly require work over the weekend, I do have my birthday to look forward to on Monday and seeing a few lovely people..

So enjoy the end of the week and the beginning of the weekend and I will too ;))  xx

Edit:  Have just decided to put in an Extra to show you the kind of waterways I was walking beside today and where the damselflies/ dragonflies were hunting.  The reddish plant to the left is common sorrel - rumex acetosa
