Cockington Country Park

I'm grateful to the friends who recommended Cockington village and Country Park as places worth visiting, they were right. I've had a fabulous day there. I had a leisurely walk through the wooded water meadows, cool and peaceful, beside a little stream with the three B's, birds, bees, butterflies to keep me company, and very few people, eventually reaching a fabulous open space, the 450 acre country park. Lakes, manor house, craft centres, 11th century church, rose garden, and chocolate box thatched cottages in the village, one of which is my main image. It was absolutely beautiful, lovely to see the children playing happily and families picnicking in the shade of the trees, and only a couple of miles inland from the centre of Torquay.....such a different environment. I might have to return!
Back at the hotel and my legs ache, walked a fair bit for me, but all good exercise.....shower and, you know what!!!
A few extras as I just couldn't decide including a 14th century forge

Thanks so much for looking in and all the lovely comments x
