wild & precious life

Imposing York Minster

Great day. Somehow, whenever we go motorhoming, the days seem to stretch.

We began with a beautiful dog walk in a loop through Rowntree park, over the millennium bridge, back along the river and across Skeldergate Bridge.

After a lovely relaxing time with our books, we then headed into a busy York for a spot of lunch and a meander through the Shambles. We chose some delicious vegetarian Indian Street food (dhal, chickpea curry and potatoes) from York market which we ate in a shaded bench near York's Chocolate Story in Kings Square.

Then we had a wander toward the beautiful York Minster, as blipped. The sun then came out again as we headed back via M&S for some dinner provisions.

Apart from popping into M & S with facemasks , we almost forgot about the dreaded Corona virus, but for this steet vendor stand (see extra)!

We still had lots of the afternoon and evening left to sit in the sunshine, read, sketch, rest and dine. We even had a little walk to the lovely Bishopthorpe Rd for Italian ice cream.

All in all, a wonderful short city break!
