BIRTHDAY GIRL

Today my little Lily is 9 years old.  I got her when she was 9 months old. ( She arrived with the name Tiger Lily but that was soon shortened to Lily )  The top left photo in the Extra collage was taken the date she first came here. The others in the Extra are from various years and my blip shots were taken today.

Lily is a bit of a scaredy cat and doesn't care for strangers or visitors or any disruption in her routine. So of course when Neil arrived yesterday she was not happy.  Especially as he was sleeping in " her " bedroom and in " her bed. ( The room Neil slept in last night has become Lily's room with a nice big double bed all to herself.)  So last night when the bed had another occupant Lily was at a loose end as to where to sleep - and she let her displeasure be known.  She finally settled on chair in my bedroom which I had covered with a cosy throw. 

Neil went home this afternoon as his girlfriend was due back from Ireland.  He wasn't here long but it was nice to have him around even for a short time - and we both enjoyed our meal out last evening.

Today has been mostly spent doing chores or watching TV.  I have done 2 loads of washing and lots of ironing.  Weather was overcast again with not a glimmer of sunshine.  A good day to stay indoors and get things ticked off the " to do " list.
