Maryland State Capitol...

....in Annapolis. This is is the oldest state capitol in continuous legislative use and is the only state house ever to have served as the nation's capitol. This shot was taken through Chancery Lane from Main Street. My husband is pictured using his Olympus.

We decided to take a ride to Annapolis this afternoon, just to get out of the house for a few hours.  It is only about 45 minutes away but we forgot that it was Saturday and of course, it would be rather busy.  Everyone for the most part was wearing masks but there were way to many people for my comfort.  The Naval Academy is closed to visitors so that wasn't' even an option. After a walk near the harbor and then around the side streets we headed home.  Once upon a time we would have spent the afternoon there, walked around the water inside the Academy and then stayed for a nice seafood dinner.  Oh well.....
