Highland heather

When I was about six I drew a picture of a 'purple headed mountain' imagined from the lyrics of the hymn All things bright and beautiful. I was reminded of this today when Mr hazelh, Winsford, T and I walked the Craig Fonvuick loop just north of Pitlochry and admired the wonderful heather on the hills all around us.

Home again, we played games this afternoon. I lost at Carcassonne to Mr hazelh, and won one of the two games of Catan (Winsford won the other).

On the last evening of time away on holiday we are looking forward to dinner of home-made curry and naan breads, prepared by T and Winsford respectively. As I type this a lovely kir royal style aperitif of Blacquette de Limoux with home grown blackcurrants has been brought to the table (hic!)

Inevitably there will be more games after supper (I hope!)

Exercise today: walking (19,723 steps).
