Rutting Deer

After taking today’s picture I decided that the kitchen windows were badly in need of cleaning, so this morning I spent almost and hour cleaning three of the four windows in the kitchen.
 
Today’s picture, taken before the windows were cleaned, is of two male Reeves Muntjacs who were fighting. The larger one on the left won because in the extra picture the larger deer is washing the face of the smaller one. It did this for a while and then the smaller deer wandered off to a different part of the garden. Later they were seen happily grazing together.

The temperature was twenty-one degrees Celsius at GMT noon.  It was not as windy today and we had some sunshine.
