Ideford Common and the Sea

A good day and I decided to go out on the bike this afternoon. I did an11 mile circuit up to Ideford Common and back through Ashcombe. I wore a jumper as I thought it might be chilly with the wind but but I soon took it off.

It's WideWednesday (hosted by steveng) and the theme this week is Natural World. Ideford Common is a Site of Special Scientific Interest consisting of an area of lowland heath. It's noted for nightjars and Dartford warblers. There are also several Bronze Age cairns and a barrow. There's lots of nature until you get to the coast where it gets a bit built up around Dawlish, I'd guess.

I think the weather gets a bit horrid again tomorrow.
