A Day In The Life

All Dressed & Ready To Go

What to do on this gloriously rainy Saturday? Clean and store our home-grown garlic, of course! It’s been four weeks since we harvested twelve hardneck garlic bulbs. They’re now dried and cured, and ready for trimming and cleaning. Aren’t they pretty?!? We’re so proud, it’s our first crop, and we will plant our second this Fall before the first frost • We like garlic but typically don’t use twelve bulbs in one year. I wonder if they would be appropriate for stocking stuffers? We must taste test before we share them! • It started raining @ 9:30am and has continued at a steady pace until a half hour ago @ 2pm. A few showers are still expected before it comes to an end this evening. It’s the most rain we’ve received since May, possibly? What a gift! Thank you, Mother Nature!
