Sitting Pretty

There were lots of Skippers in the community garden at the Agricultural Farm Park so it made getting a blip easy.  Unfortunately, this garden has reached the point of being almost inaccessible except for a small section at each end.  Because of the pandemic, no one has worked on the garden and it has gone completely wild.  All the paths are obstructed. They will have their work cut out for them when this is all over....whenever that may be.

The garden next to this one is the trial garden for the National Capital Dahlia Society and it has been well-tended in spite of the pandemic.

After the soaking we received yesterday from the remnants of Hurricane Laura, the weather has turned cooler and it is such a relief.  My outing this morning was so pleasant and I spent a fair amount of time reading comfortably on the porch this afternoon.  The week ahead is looking very good.
