to be alive and steaming

There was a sort of robust airy swishy pleasantness to the air this morning which was complemented by a passenger train passing overhead as I passed under one viaduct and a big long freight train passing on my left alongside the Innocent. Despite usually passing several chunks of train-track on my normal route it's relatively rareish to encounter trains thereupon, particularly on the half-dormant bits.

Just before winter festive period my employer granted all employment-units a gift of vouchers, one-third of which were able to be immediately allocated to a tri-wheeled scootler for the wingpiglet to scootle about on as soon as he develops the ability to steer but of which the remainder have not yet been consumed, mostly due to the absence of anything I need from any of the smallish range of shops at which the tokens are valid. Despite trying my hardest with Halford's website they're charging almost ten pounds more for tyres than other people, meaning that real money will have to be spent to replace the ailing Gatorskin on the back whilst the remaining vouchers remain, creeping slowly forwards to their expiry date.
