The paths to the northish-eastish of the road are significantly wider that those twisting around near the river to the westish, much easier for passing people and better for keeping sight of dawdling children and the people who knew where we were supposed to be going up ahead. There was a bit of sitting about with sticks, then some whittling and bramble collection, then a bit of sitting about near a river. I had been going to take my former work-flask filled with coffee but when I have it a rinse it emitted a load of flaked of old dried-up coffee, so I had to use my school flask instead. It's difficult to judge how far we walked as we weren't going at a constant pace and I left the tracker app (whence the GPX track can't be exported, nor wherein it may be edited) switched on for the drive home.
