Castle Menkemaborg...

Today a sunny & dry day, so after two rainy days again a day to make a trip. First we visited the Open Air Museum in Warffum, where you can see how people lived in the province Groningen around 1900. Then we went to Uithuizen, where we visited the castle Menkemaborg, originally built in the 14th century and altered around 1700 but has since been barely changed; the castle  also has very beautiful gardens. At the end of the day we visited Bedum to make some pictures of the St.Walfidus church; the church has a leaning tower with a greater angle than the leaning tower of Pisa.
