Chinese Mantis

at least according to my favorite Biology teacher and great friend who has kept these as classroom pets. This one was climbing on the outside of my garage. I do not like them because... 1. they are large bugs! 2. They kill hummingbirds.  Last summer my husband removed one from the side of our hummingbird feeder where it was waiting to ambush a little hummer!
