A few goodies...

harvested from the garden. The chard always looks so pretty growing that I don't really want to pick it! I've decided the carrots are very upset that the ground is too stony, despite having removed hundreds of stones before planting! Although I have numerous beetroot plants all looking great the actual beetroot is small and some almost non- existent! The cabbages are all growing well albeit looking a bit moth eaten. The parsnips all look to be thriving too, and many of them, but as it's not time to harvest yet I'm not holding my breath that they will be of any size, but I'll be happy with baby parsnips so long as they are edible!
45mph winds today and I thought it a good idea to wash some dog bedding. I fought quite hard to peg it out only to discover it all flying in the air and draped over old swing frame as the line had snapped, about half an hour later. Pleased it wasn't my white sheets! Lesson learned! Some was already dry so that was taken in and Barry did a repair job to make is reusable.
Tomorrow looking like a more sensible day for washing.
Started a birthday card for Charlotte but not sure I'm happy with it so may rethink tomorrow.
Our girls are still laying and producing an average of 5 eggs a day so it was omelette and homegrown veg for dinner.
