Drawing the line

Beds are Burning (chorus lyrics below)
How can we dance when our earth is turning
How do we sleep while our beds are burning
How can we dance when our earth is turning
How do we sleep while our beds are burning
The time has come
To say fair's fair
To pay the rent, now
To pay our share

Looking north, smoke from the fires in California has reached Albuquerque, New Mexico.  The gray line you see at the top of the blip, running east to west, is smoke not clouds...well, a cloud of sorts, but more like a blanket.  And this is 1,000 miles away!

Drove to the back side of the Manzano Mts. to see the straw bale home our friends are building.  The blanket hung heavier and thicker the further south we drove.  Our poor, poor countrymen and women are suffering.  I heard on the news the California governor say the air is so thick with smoke, it's like smoking 20 packs of cigarettes in one day.

What are we to do when we have so many other countrymen and women who deny science? We are at our wit's end!
