Red deer rutting

A perfect day in National Park De Hoge Veluwe together with Peter.
We left around 6.30 and arrived in the park when the gates opened at 9.00.
Within 15 minutes we saw a group of deer (female deer) in the woods and a few moments later a lonely wild boar. He's in the extra section!

In the afternoon (around 14.00) we found ourselves a good spot to capture the rutting. Around 16.30 the first stag appeared.
When the sun started to set and the light got better and better we went to a second location. That turned out a be a good decision. What we saw and heared there still gives me goosebumps. What an impressive sight and sound.

At 20.00 the park closed and it was time to go home. On our way back we were still buzzing with excitement.

2 photos in the extras!
