Water Water Everywhere......

We had a days rest from walking but still spent much of the day on our feet. We visited The Alnwick Garden instead. Unfortunately parts were out of bounds due to the current restrictions, but it's still a very interactive garden to visit at any time of the year.

The 2 images here are taken around the Grand Cascade. The main one from the side in the Serpent Garden.

The scaffolding was there as there was a lot of hedge cutting going on. It did remind me of the Peter Greenaway film The Draughtman's Contract!

We did attempt to visit Barter Books, a famous second hand bookshop in the town. But they were queuing outside and with no idea how long it would take to get through the doors we thought we'd save that option for another visit.

We had a great evening meal out in Seahouses at an Italian restaurant called Elan. The food was excellent and so was the ambiance. And the team in there kept all their customers safe, so we felt very comfortable. I'd highly recommend it if you're visiting the area.
