Wide Wednesday - "Built Environment (Man Made)"

As soon as I saw the theme for today's Widwed challenge, hosted by Steveng, I knew what I'd blip. My morning walk very often takes me past this set of buildings which are spread out in a long line as you can see, ideal for a wide shot.

This is Procter and Gamble's "Newcastle Technical Centre". I actually worked there for 6 months as a lab technician between school and university, at which time it had the much more mundane title of "Research and Development Department"!

The weather was atrocious this morning: it was pouring with rain when I took this photo - very different from the lovely sunshine when I took my Abstract Thursday blip last week. That was actually a very different view of the site from a completely different viewpoint.
