Stratford

It's been a bit of a busy day.  As expected it was raining when I got out of bed and continued until after lunchtime.  We had a visit from Emma who was in the area seeing friends and had a quick chat and cup of tea before the start of the family Sunday Quiz on Zoom.  Em left then for her lunch date.  The quiz, hosted this week by Tom, was very entertaining including rounds from Catch Phrase, Family Fortunes and Who Wants to be  Millionaire. We won the FF round.

After a good session and chat there was just time for a quick lunch before we went into town to meet Emma.  By this time the rain had just about stopped, but still looked threatening.  We three went for a walk by the river.  There were a few people around and on Waterside Stratford appeared to be holding a mini food fest as well as the normal Sunday market.

After walking beyond the non-running ferry jetty we had a rain shower and turned back to walk back into town.  The rain had put paid to outside seating at the cafes (see extra), though the High Street pods were doing OK so we went our separate ways and Ann and I watched some tennis and had coffee at home.
