Looking Down an October Road

The foliage is turning everywhere now. In some places further north, it is at or even a bit past peak. In central Pennsylvania, the colors are just emerging, but it is still a very good show! Even the ferns have turned to gold.

My husband and I went on a backpack trip to Sproul. This was a shot I took on the road we drove in on. Just a bit further on, the ruts grow quite deep and rocky, and you cannot traverse it without a truck.

From this vantage point, it looks like a road into a fine autumn adventure. Here's a song for that: James Taylor, with October Road.
