Welcome Back Blueboy!

Dear Diary,

I don't see Blue Jays consistently or often in the summer but come October they decide, in mass, that my Chipmunk café is just right for them.  I welcome their lovely blue color just now when things are beginning to "rust out".  A cool, cloudy morning today, typically October.  I'm smelling wood smoke too.
