Birthday Celebration

We had a terrific virus-safe celebration for my granddaughter's 7th birthday this afternoon. My co-grandmother and I have been planning this for a while now. She owns a warehouse (for her two clothing/shoe stores) so we were able to open up the garage doors for plenty of fresh air and practice all the necessary precautions. Odette's best friend was able to come on those conditions. Odette hadn't seen her since before Covid. When Odette arrived at the warehouse with her parents and brother she was so excited to see her friend...they played and rode bikes around the warehouse (and wore masks and sanitized). We had a Unicorn piñata and a Pin-the-Horn on the Unicorn game. And of course everything else was unicorn themed. Other than her friend and mother, everyone else was in our "pod" already...just the three kids and 6 adults. We had a terrific time! Best that could be during this time...and somehow maybe even better because it meant so much to my granddaughter.

Pouring rain last night, sun breaks just in time for the party and now back to rain.

But these beautiful Osteospermum and still blooming - in fact, I think they like the cooler weather.

I'll catch up with your journals tomorrow....till then...Happy Weekend!
