The Lozarithm Lens

River Avon, Melksham (Sunday 11th October 2020)

It may not seem like it but it has been a month since my last swan blip. I have also only blipped cygnets twice before this year (Indeed I have only seen cygnets twice before in 2020). The first time was last May when I was at the same spot in Melksham, photographing a pair of swans with their seven cygnets. The same pair today were with this sole full-grown cygnet. He may be the sole survivor or perhaps they are old enough to venture off on their own now? Dad is in Extras.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Dave Brubeck - Brahms Lullaby (recorded 2-4 March 2010)
This week's pick from Cerys Matthew's 6 Music show is the final track played, and is a single taken from the upcoming album Lullabies. The piece is Johannes Brahms's Wiegenlied ("Lullaby"; "Cradle Song"), Op. 49, No. 4, a lied for voice and piano which was first published in 1868. Dave Brubeck was ninety years old when he made this.
