The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Wednesday 14th October 2020)

I keep photographing these and then blipping something else, but this time I took no other pictures.
Although I have blipped stinking iris pods from the Woodland Garden in the past, they were the ones I planted beside the small pond, but they have spread somehow to other parts of the garden, including even the Driveway Patch at the top of the drive. When a plant chooses somewhere that it wants to grow I like to accomodate it, if possible. These have sprung up this year in a small raised bed in the Front Yard where the Barnsley Babies grow, next to the outbuilding.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Richard & Linda Thompson - Down Where The Drunkards Roll (Demo) (recorded May 1973, Sound Techniques, Chelsea)
Linda Thompson (vocal), Richard Thompson (guitar) with Fairport Covention's Simon Nicol (dulcimer)
Getting hold of the new box set Hard Luck Stories has been a saga of mishaps and once acquired there have been horror stories of faulty copies that had to be returned for new copies that were likely to have the same faults. I've played two of the discs so far, the second on this day - so far, so good.
This song appeared on the couple's first album I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight, a classic, but this demo was previously unreleased.
