Flood Plain

No delivery slots available, so I did a 'click and collect' supermarket order, which meant a trip to Kelso to collect the shopping. It was a good excuse to get out and to drive through some fabulous scenery in Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, quite atmospheric on a gloomy afternoon with the mist swirling round the hill tops (extra - the Bowmont Water near Kirk Yetholm).

After two very wet days and some torrential rain last night there's a lot of water on the roads, the rivers are high, and many fields have started to flood. The water in the foreground of the blip is a field drain running in to the River Glen (in the distance). It's usually little more than a trickle, but today water's spilling on to the flood plain.
