When you officially become a scholar at Oxford.

Typically a big ceremony where the students meet in one of the halls and addressed by the important ones...

This year - virtually on the laptops - where they toasted themselves with Prosecco ... a


Typically then a parade and official photographs around Oxford - they were allowed to walk the streets but in their bubbles .. no office photographs... so mobiles suffice; it meant that we were able to celebrate with her as it happened...

And then we were able to get celebrate the other way round as her dad received a delivery of an ice cream sundae and an til. Of ice cream to help celebrate his big birthday tomorrow.

We were going to go down... but Covid poke a poker In the plans.
