Goodbye Mull

It was goodbye to Mull today. We were cleared up and ready to go in very good time, so we took the scenic route to the ferry at Craignure along the Gribun road. It was another lovely morning. The views were lovely and we were rewarded with the sight of another golden eagle flying overhead.

The ferry journey was equally lovely. It was very calm and still and we spotted plenty of wildlife - seals popping up near the ferry, guillemots and some other diving birds and a glimpse of a porpoise. Definitely a wildlife filled sailing.

Instead of driving straight back, we spent a little bit of time in Oban, climbing up to McCaig's Tower and then walking around the town. The view from the Tower was fantastic, with views across Oban bay to the hills of Mull beyond.

Then, after a fish and chip supper in Oban, we drove home. I have another night at my brother's before heading back to Edinburgh tomorrow.
