Restringing

F gave me a hand with a couple of tricky jobs this morning. One was adjusting the washing line to stop it misbehaving. It manages to get ridiculously loose in one part and so tight in another that it can’t be removed when I’m not using it. He solved the problem by restringing and adding knots. (In a tiny garden I don’t want it up all the time).

Here he is doing the business. I suggested to him that he should be grateful for these opportunities to keep his problem solving abilities honed!

When he went home I went for a walk around the village. It was pretty grey and miserable but the tree colours made up for the weather.
