Autumn candle holder

Monday
The day started with an excited phone call from Laura in Kuwait. She was resigned to the fact she would have to stay in Kuwait for Christmas which she wasn’t looking forward to, but they heard this morning the school was giving them an extra week off over Christmas, plus they would be able to teach the first two weeks back In Kuwait from home, while they complete their quarantine. They are teaching on line now, but the teachers still have to go into the school. Unfortunately the air fares are steeper than she was expecting, but we said we’d be happy to make up the difference as a Christmas present. So she has booked her flights, but she can change them if circumstances change. So, all being well she will be back for three weeks - let’s hope it’s not too too cold for her!
By the time we’d caught up on each other’s news, it meant another late start to our day.it was a wet day, so we occupied ourselves with indoor jobs/activities, before going for a swim late afternoon. We hadn’t been swimming since before going to Utah at which time the outdoor pool was still open, but of course it is indoor swimming now!
I didn’t take an outdoor blip today, so I took a picture of our autumnal pumpkin candle holder. I haven’t used it for several years, as I didn’t take the Easter or autumn decorations with us when we went to France, and they hadn’t come down from the loft since, but Roger saw the box when he was up in the roof last week and asked if I wanted it down, so of course I said yes. If we have another wet day in the coming weeks, I may end up blipping another of my decorations!
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a good week!
