Abercorn to Blackness.

I watched a short documentary about the life of the author Muriel Spark on Sky Arts introduced by Ian Rankin last night which was excellent.
Probably her most famous novel was “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie” and must admit seen the film but never read the book.
The teacher played by Maggie Smith was inspired by Muriel Spark’s own teacher Miss Christina Kay who is buried here on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Her gravestone is the larger one in the foreground but the wording is very worn. She died in 1951.
The rest of the collage is on the walk to Blackness Castle & the castle itself & also the three bridges over the Firth of Forth.
Lovely walk today.
Stay safe folks.
