A Day In The Life

Dangling

When walking through the woods this afternoon, I was unexpectedly kissed by a towering oak. It dangled a leaf-filled twig far over my head. Like mistletoe it hung there waiting to be noticed. I did, and blushed • When I asked if I could kindly take a photo, to remember the moment, I received nothing in response. It was then the woods became eerily silent. The birds and the squirrels were no more. Suddenly, I felt alone and scared, too far from home. I quickly snapped my photo and ran, through wet leaves and downed branches. I kept running and running until I reached the forest’s edge, never daring to look back • I couldn’t wait to get home to blip all my friends!
