That Robin

We went to Staunton Harold for a walk this morning. There were odds and ends of drizzle. It didn't rain heavily until this evening.

The maple woodlands did not live up to their name. No red leaves to be seen, but some occasional fetching yellow.

Not to worry, we adjourned to the Peach House café in the garden centre choosing to sit outside under cover rather than inside. It did look a bit crowded.

Suddenly, Len said, 'Look up carefully.' And there was this tame robin sitting on the back of the chair next to me. Taking a photo on my phone and then picking up my 'proper' camera and leaning close to him didn't faze him at all. He didn't even fly down to the ground to peck at the crumbs we offered him.

Good, basic food at the caff. I had a freshly toasted gluten free cheese and ham panini, stuffed with the cheese and ham. Pity the soup wasn't GF and I'm not allowed the chips anymore as the chip fryer is used to cook breaded items.
